Broncos 26, Raiders 13

FLASH RECAP:
Peyton Manning throws for 310 yards and a touchdown to lead Denver (10-3) to a victory over Oakland (3-10) before an announced crowd of 53,807 at O.co Coliseum on Dec. 6, 2012.

Manning extends his franchise record with his 30th touchdown pass on the game's opening drive, becomes the fastest quarterback to reach 5,000 career completions and earns his NFL record 12th 10-win season as a starter.

Running back Knowshon Moreno rushes for 199 yards and a touchdown to help the streaking Broncos win their eighth straight game — Denver's longest winning streak since starting the 1998 season with 13 victories.

Dennis Allen coaches the Raiders two days after his father, Grady, passed away. Dennis Allen was away from the team for two days before returning Dec. 5.

"I took my father off life support (voice cracking), and that's not easy to do," Allen tells reporters after the game. "So was it hard? Yeah, it was hard. But I know my father would want me to be here with this football team, and I wanted to be here with this football team. So I'm sure you guys can imagine it wasn't an easy situation."

Carson Palmer throws for two touchdowns for Oakland, which drops its sixth straight game — equaling its longest losing streak since the 2007 season.

SLB Von Miller — Strips the ball from Oakland's Carson Palmer with his 16th sack of the season. Denver's Mitch Unrein recovers the ball at the Oakland 2 to set up a Knowshon Moreno TD run for a 23-7 Broncos lead late in the third quarter.

Oakland

QB Carson Palmer — Throws for 273 yards and two touchdowns, but he stops a promising drive with an interception and coughs up a fumble at the Oakland 2 to set up a Denver TD.

WR Darrius Heyward-Bey — Contributes five catches for 82 yards and a TD. He scores on a 56-yard catch-and-run during the fourth quarter for Oakland's second touchdown.

KEY STATS:
Peyton Manning joins Brett Favre as the only NFL quarterbacks with 5,000 career completions. Manning needed 221 games to reach the 5,000 milestone, 18 fewer than Favre.
