Broncos 26, Raiders 13

Peyton Manning throws for 310 yards and a touchdown to lead Denver (10-3) to a victory over Oakland (3-10) before an announced crowd of 53,807 at Coliseum on Dec. 6, 2012.

Manning extends his franchise record with his 30th touchdown pass on the game's opening drive, becomes the fastest quarterback to reach 5,000 career completions and earns his NFL record 12th 10-win season as a starter.

Running back Knowshon Moreno rushes for 199 yards and a touchdown to help the streaking Broncos win their eighth straight game — Denver's longest winning streak since starting the 1998 season with 13 victories.

Dennis Allen coaches the Raiders two days after his father, Grady, passed away. Dennis Allen was away from the team for two days before returning Dec. 5.

"I took my father off life support (voice cracking), and that's not easy to do," Allen tells reporters after the game. "So was it hard? Yeah, it was hard. But I know my father would want me to be here with this football team, and I wanted to be here with this football team. So I'm sure you guys can imagine it wasn't an easy situation."

Carson Palmer throws for two touchdowns for Oakland, which drops its sixth straight game — equaling its longest losing streak since the 2007 season.

QB Peyton Manning — Is 26 of 36 passing for 310 yards and a touchdown and an interception. Manning engineers seven third-down conversions in 14 attempts.

RB Knowshon Moreno — Has 119 rushing yards on 32 carries and a TD.

SLB Von Miller — Strips the ball from Oakland's Carson Palmer with his 16th sack of the season. Denver's Mitch Unrein recovers the ball at the Oakland 2 to set up a Knowshon Moreno TD run for a 23-7 Broncos lead late in the third quarter.

RB Darren McFadden — Has 52 rushing yards on 11 carries and catches two passes for 12 yards. His 6-yard TD catch with 1:59 left in the first half narrows Oakland's deficit to 13-7.

QB Carson Palmer — Throws for 273 yards and two touchdowns, but he stops a promising drive with an interception and coughs up a fumble at the Oakland 2 to set up a Denver TD.

WR Darrius Heyward-Bey — Contributes five catches for 82 yards and a TD. He scores on a 56-yard catch-and-run during the fourth quarter for Oakland's second touchdown.

Peyton Manning joins Brett Favre as the only NFL quarterbacks with 5,000 career completions. Manning needed 221 games to reach the 5,000 milestone, 18 fewer than Favre.

The Broncos are 8-2 the past 10 road games against the Raiders.
Darren McFadden's 36-yard run against Denver on the first possession of the second half is the longest run by 12 yards against the Broncos this season.
The Raiders hold the Broncos to two touchdowns on seven red-zone trips (29 percent). Denver enters the game tied for fourth in the NFL in red-zone offense at 61.4 percent.
The Broncos' Champ Bailey stops a potential Raiders' scoring drive near the goal line in the second-quarter. It's Bailey's 52nd career interception, second only to Baltimore's Ed Reed among active players.

"To rack up this many losses in a row in the fashion that we've done is just extremely frustrating."

Raiders QB Carson Palmer

"We've got a lot of role players on this team, first and foremost. But to top it off, our best players are future Hall of Famers."
