Cardinals 31, Raiders 27

FLASH RECAP:
Arizona scores 10 points off of two Oakland turnovers in the second quarter en route to a preseason victory over the Raiders before an announced crowd of 59,605 at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Ariz. on Aug. 17, 2012.

The Raiders (0-2) implode with three turnovers — two lost fumbles by Mike Goodson and a Carson Palmer interception. Oakland also has a blocked punt, which is returned by Arizona's Justin Bethel 19 yards for a touchdown.

The Cardinals (1-2) have four turnovers — three lost fumbles and an interception — and allow a safety, when defensive end Tommy Kelly sacks quarterback Kevin Kolb in the end zone in the first quarter.

William Powell's 9-yard touchdown run gives Arizona a 30-24 lead with 11:25 remaining after Oakland deadlocks the score at 24-all when defensive end Hall Davis returns a fumble 7 yards for a score with 39 seconds left in the third quarter and Eddy Carmona follows with a PAT.

Sebastian Janikowski kicks three field goals for the Raiders and Carmona contributes a 53-yard field goal after having an earlier PAT blocked by the Cardinals' Bethel.

PRIME-TIME PLAYERS:

Arizona
QB John Skelton — Is 3 for 3 passing for 23 yards and a game-high efficiency rating of 138.2 in only five plays. Skelton throws a 3-yard TD to Anthony Sherman, lifting Arizona to a 17-8 lead in the second quarter.

S Justin Bethel — Blocks a Marquette King punt and returns it 19 yards for a touchdown, giving the Cardinals a 24-8 advantage with 8:20 left in the first half. Bethel also blocks a PAT attempt.

S Kerry Rhodes — Returns a Carson Palmer interception 60 yards, setting up a Jay Feely 32-yard field goal.

Oakland
K Sebastian Janikowski — Is 3 for 3 on field goal attempts, from 18, 40 and 21 yards.

DE Hall Davis — Returns a Ryan Lindley fumble 7 yards for a touchdown. Davis picks up the fumble after Lindley is sacked by LB LB Carl Ihenacho, one of four Oakland sacks against Arizona.

WR Rod Streater — Rookie free agent from Temple has a game-high 7 catches for 43 yards.

"He is skittish. He is scared back there. Anytime anybody gets close to him he starts looking at the refs. As a defensive lineman you love a quarterback like that. He ain't even trying to look at the routes no more. He is paying attention to us and you ain't going to get nothing done like that.''
