Raiders 22, Cardinals 9

FLASH RECAP:
Andrew Walter throws for a career-high 263 yards and Oakland's defense doesn’t allow a touchdown as the rejuvenated Raiders end an 11-game losing streak before an announced crowd of 61,595 at McAfee Coliseum on Oct. 22, 2003.

The Raiders (1-5) have three sacks, allow only 224 total yards and record a safety against reeling Arizona (1-6), which drops its sixth straight game.

Oakland doesn’t surrender a touchdown for the first time in 55 regular-season games (a 24-0 win over Kansas City on Dec. 28, 2002).

The Raiders’ Randy Moss has seven receptions for 129 yards (both season highs) and a touchdown against the Cardinals, but drops four passes.

Oakland builds a 17-0 lead in the first half on touchdowns by RaShard Lee (1-yard run) and Moss (32-yard catch) and the first of two Sebastian Janikowski field goals.

The Cardinals’ Neil Rackers kicks three field goals, two in the second half.

The Raiders are victorious despite committing five turnovers (three by Walter) and eight penalties for 70 yards.

Oakland has season-highs in total yards (395) and time of possession (37:01).

QB Andrew Walter — Is 17-of-30 passing for 263 yards and two touchdowns with an interception before being sidelined in the third quarter with a hamstring injury. His two lost fumbles after being sacked by Bertrand Berry set up Cardinals field goals.

Arizona
DE Bertrand Berry — Has three sacks and two forced fumbles.
MLB Gerald Hayes — Has a game-high 10 solo tackles (plus three assists).
WR Anduan Bolin — Has four catches for 59 yards, all in the second half.

THEY SAID IT:
"It’s a weight off of everybody’s shoulders to get the first win. I’m glad to get to taste it. Now we move on."

Raiders coach Art Shell

"All day long, we just rushed the hell out of the quarterback and stopped a great running back."

Raiders DT Warren Sapp

"We got five turnovers and couldn’t capitalize on them. That’s tough."

Cardinals DT Darnell Dockett

BY THE NUMBERS:
6: Raiders interceptions this season, surpassing their 2005 total of five interceptions. DT Terdell Sands and CB Tyrone Poole have interceptions against the Cardinals.
36.3: Cardinals QB Matt Leinart’s efficiency rating on 13-of-32 passing for 203 yards and 2 INTs.
