Chiefs 23, Raiders 17

Jan. 3, 2016
Arrowhead Stadium
Kansas City, MO

STAR OF THE GAME
The Kansas City defense sacks Derek Carr six times, allows only 205 total yards and does not surrender an offensive touchdown until approximately the game's 58th minute to lead the streaking Chiefs (11-5) to a franchise-record 10th straight win. Carr finishes with 194 passing yards, but 72 of those come on a late-game scoring drive. The Raiders (7-9) are three of 14 on third-down conversion and avarge 3.7 yards per play.

KEY STATS
Kansas City becomes the only team in NFL history to win 10 straight following a losing streak of five or more games.
Derek Carr falls short in his quest to tie or break Daryle Lamonica's single-season Raiders record of 34 TD passes, set in 1969. Carr finishes with 32 TD passes and 3,987 passing yards in 2015.
Defensive end Khalil Mack does not have a sack for a second straight game, finishing with 15 on the season, one short of Derrick Burrgess' club record of 16, set in 2005. Mack finishes with 10 tackles, including two for loss, against the Chiefs.
The Chiefs' Alex Smith improves to 7-1 in starts against the Raiders as he throws for 156 yards and two TDs with two INTs in their 2015 season finale.
TJ Carrie and David Amerson have interceptions for Oakland, with Amerson accounting for the team's first TD on a 24-yard pick-6. The Chiefs' Alex Smith entered the game with only five interceptions this season.
The Raiders finish with a 7-9 record in Jack Del Rio's first year as Oakland head coach. Only Tom Cable in 2010 and Hue Jackson in 2011 (both 8-8) have won more games in a season as Oakland head coach since 2003.

THANKS FOR THE
MEMORIES, C-WOOD
Playing in his final game of a stellar 18-year career, the Raiders' Charles Woodson has six solo tackles and an assist. Woodson, 39, finishes with 65 career interceptions, tied for fifth place on the carrer list with Ken Riley. Charles Woodson finishes tied with Rod Woodson and Darren Sharper for most defensive TDs (13).

THEY SAID IT
“We sputtered. Sometimes when we needed it the most, we looked like ourselves. But other times we just looked sloppy."

Raiders QB Derek Carr

“It didn’t end like you want it to end, but the great thing about this team is they fought all the way to the end. That’s how it goes sometimes.”

Raiders S Charles Woodson

“We didn’t win this game, but there was no lack of determination or grit. I love that about how we developed, how we can stay in it.”

Raiders coach Jack Del Rio
