Chiefs 17, Raiders 13

FLASH RECAP:
Safety Jarrad Page intercepts an Aaron Brooks pass in the end zone with 26 seconds left to preserve Kansas City’s victory over Oakland before an announced crowd of 78,097 at Arrowhead Stadium on Nov. 19, 2006.

Three Brooks completions help the Raiders (2-8) drive to the Kansas City 8 with 32 seconds left. On first-and-goal, Brooks throws over the middle for Randy Moss but Page thwarts Oakland’s comeback with his game-saving interception.

The Chiefs (6-4) erase a 13-10 deficit on Larry Johnson’s 1-yard touchdown run with 1:32 left. Johnson has 154 of Kansas City’s 200 rushing yards and two touchdowns.

Brooks, playing for the first time since sustaining a shoulder injury against the Ravens in Week 2, completes 13 of 22 passes for 179 yards and a touchdown.

But ooooh that interception.

"I’d love to have that throw back," Brooks tells reporters after the Raiders' fifth straight loss to the Chiefs at Arrowhead. "But in a situation like that, you can’t second-guess yourself. I thought I made the right read, and I anticipated my guy being there for a touchdown, and he wasn’t."

The Raiders drop their 12th straight against an AFC West opponent and are 2-20 in their past 22 division games.

THEY SAID IT:
"To fight all day and be in a position to win and let it slip away at the end, it really hurts," "It hurts physically to fight that hard. And, then, mentally it’s tough when we don’t get rewarded with that win."

Raiders RB Justin Fargas

"I was getting ready to jump. I had my feet planted. I thought he was going to put it up in the air. When he let it go, it was like, man, it is down low where I can go get it." Chiefs S Jarrad Page We just don’t make plays when we need to."
