KEY STATS:
The Raiders record a shutout for the first time since their 2002 regular-season finale when they beat the visiting Chiefs 24-0. That was also the only other time the Raiders have shut out the Chiefs.

The 119 total yards allowed by the Raiders are the fewest since they gave up 93 to the San Diego Chargers in a 6-0 victory in 1975.
The Raiders' Carson Palmer throws for 182 passing yards, leaving him 13 yards short of becoming the second Raiders player to reach 4,000 in a season. Rich Gannon set a franchise record with 4,689 passing yards in the 2002 season.
Oakland holds Kansas City's Jamaal Charles to 10 rushing yards on 9 attempts. He enters the game with 399 rushing yards on 68 carries the past three games.

THEY SAID IT:
"It's extremely hard to shut anybody out. It doesn't matter who they are. That's an accomplishment that we take great pride in. I think it's huge. Our guys needed something where they get a little bit of confidence."

Raiders coach Dennis Allen

"We had a rough season, and it was our last home game, so we wanted to go out there and prove to our fans that we're still playing with heart and passion, we're still giving it everything we've got. So this was one of those games, it was like a fan appreciation game."

Raiders SS Tyvon Branch

“We just killed ourselves just being in third and long. We can’t convert on third and 12, third and 15, third and 10 sometimes. It’s too far to get a first down."

Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles

BY THE NUMBERS:
0: Turnovers for Oakland QB Carson Palmer, who had nine interceptions the past six games.
8-3: The Raiders' record against the Chiefs the past 11 games.

89: Rushing yards by Oakland's Mike Goodson, who enters the game with only 111 rushing yards on 17 carries.
