FLASH RECAP:
Three Kerry Collins interceptions and nine penalties for 59 yards doom the Raiders to their 12th straight road loss. Oakland commits penalties on Indy's four offensive touchdown drives. The Raiders score a touchown in each half on a Justin Fargas 1-yard run and a Courtney Johnson 21-yard reception. Oakland has a season-low 269 total yards against an Indy defense that enters the game ranked last in the league in total yards and passing yards.
PRIME-TIME PLAYERS:
Colts defense - The unit surrenders 269 yards, 120 fewer than it allowed in the season's previous four games. Indy forces three interceptions and sacks Kerry Collins four times.
RB Edgerrin James - Rushes for 136 yards on 32 carries and one TD.
QB Peyton Manning - Throws for a season-low 198 yards, but who's complaining if you're a Colts fan? Manning easily dissects Oakland's overmatched defense as he completes 16 of 26 passes to seven receivers.
CB Jason David - Seals victory by returning a Kerry Collins interception 34 yards for a touchdown.
DE Robert Mathis - Contributes two of Indy's four sacks, a forced fumble and four tackles.
WR Ronald Curry - Has a game-high 10 catches for 72 yards.
RB Amos Zereoue - Contributes 7 catches for 53 yards and 41 rushing yards, but his 56-yard TD run on the third play of the second half is nullified by a holding penalty. Ouch!
TE Courtney Johnson - The rookie from San Jose State scores his first NFL touchdown on a 21-yard reception in the fourth quarter.
