Giants 44, Raiders 7

FLASH RECAP:
Eli Manning throws for two scores and leads New York on touchdown drives on its first four possessions in a blowout of Oakland before an announced crowd of 79,012 at Giants Stadium on Oct. 11, 2009 in East Rutherford, New Jersey,

The Giants (5-0) have 483 total yards and 27 first downs against the stumbling Raiders (1-4). Oakland has only 124 total yards and as many punts (seven) as first downs.

Manning, whose playing status is uncertain because of reported plantar fasciitis in his right heel, completes eight of 10 passes for 173 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions.

Oakland's JaMarcus Russell is 8-of-13 passing for 100 yards. He doesn't throw a TD pass for the third straight games, is sacked six times and losses three fumbles.

With another abysmal showing, the Raiders fall to 25-76 the past 101 games — the worst record in the NFL over that stretch (six plus seasons).

PRIME-TIME PLAYERS:

New York
QB Eli Manning — Is 8-of-10 passing for 173 yards and two TDs in less than two quarters of action.

Giants defense — The unit has six sacks, forces three JaMarcus Russell fumbles and allows only 124 total yards.

RB Ahmad Bradshaw — Has 110 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries.

Oakland
TE Zach Miller — Has a game-high four catches for 69 yards.

RB Michael Bush — His 5-yard scoring run late in the first half is Oakland's first touchdown in 10 quarters.

CB Jonathan Holland — Recovers a New York fumble on a muffed punt return to set up Oakland's only score.

KEY STATS:
The Giants have a whopping 220 rushing yards compared to 60 for the Raiders.

Eli Manning's passer rating is a perfect 158.3. He becomes the fourth Giants quarterback since 1960 (and the first since Kerry Collins in 2002) to have a perfect passer rating with a minimum of 10 attempts.
With two rushing TDs during the first quarter, New York's Ahmad Bradshaw equals his career rushing TDs in his first 31 NFL games.

THEY SAID IT:
"We couldn't stop anything. That's a bad feeling when you are out there and they are running whatever plays they want to. The third or fourth quarter I think they had their backups in the game and they were still doing whatever they wanted to offensively. There is no excuse for that and everybody has to look themselves in the mirror and say, 'I have to do a better job.'"

Raiders DE Richard Seymour

"We thought it was an opportunity if we came out and got after him (JaMarcus Russell) early, there would be a lot of chances. He has flashes of greatness but we wanted to make sure he didn't flash against us."

Giants DE Mathias Kiwanuka

BY THE NUMBERS:
3: Lost fumbles by Raiders QB JaMarcus Russell.

4.9: Oakland average yards per pass on 13 attempts with eight completions.

6: Giants sacks on Raiders QB JaMarcus Russell.

DID YOU KNOW?:
The Giants are 5-0 for the third time in franchise history and first since 1990 when they started 10-0 en route to a Super Bowl XXV victory. New York's other 5-0 start came in 1941.
