Jaguars 38, Raiders 31

FLASH RECAP:
Maurice Jones-Drew's 30-yard touchdown run with 1:34 remaining gives Jacksonville (8-5) a pulsating victory over visiting Oakland (6-7) before an announced crowd of 62,570 at EverBank Field on Dec. 12, 2010.

Darren McFadden has three touchdowns and 123 rushing yards for the Raiders, who suffer their third loss in four games.

McFadden's dazzling 36-yard TD run with 1:53 left deadlocks the score at 31-all. After Deji Karim returns the ensuing kickoff 65 yards to the Oakland 30, Jones-Drew bolts untouched over the left side of the line for the game-winning score.

Oakland advances to the Jacksonville 23-yard line on three Jason Campbell completions before time expires.

“It kicks you in the teeth,” Raiders coach Tom Cable tells reporters after the Jaguars win for the fifth time in six games.

The wild game features six touchdowns of 30 yards or more as the Jaguars overcome a halftime deficit for the first time since Oct. 18, 2009 against St. Louis.

The game turns in favor of the Jaguars when Oakland's Jacoby Ford coughs up a fumble at the Raiders' 21 on a kickoff return with 6:28 left in the third quarter. Five plays later, the Jaguars erase a 24-21 deficit on David Garrard's 10-yard TD pass to Michael Sims-Walker on third down.

PRIME-TIME PLAYERS:

Jacksonville
RBs Maurice Jones-Drew & Rashad Jennings — They combine for 210 rushing yards on 28 carries and two TDs. Jennings' 74-yard scoring run during the third quarter helps Jacksonville erase two, 10-point deficits.

QB David Garrard — Is 11-of-22 passing for 159 yards and three TDs. He also has 35 rushing yards on five carries.

KR Deji Karim — Has 143 yards on four kickoff returns, including a 65-yarder to set up Maurice Jones-Drew's game-winning TD run.

Oakland
RB Darren McFadden — Has TD runs of 51 and 36 yards, and scores on a 67-yard pass from Jason Campbell. McFadden has 123 rushing yards on 16 carries, leaving him seven yards shy of 1,000 on the season.

QB Jason Campbell — Completes 21 of 30 passes for 324 yards and two TDs with one interception and a 127.6 passer rating. During the first half, Campbell is 11-of-14 passing for 204 yards and a perfect passer rating of 158.3.

WR Louis Murphy — The former University of Florida star has six catches for 59 yards. Murphy's 8-yard TD catch with 19 seconds left in the second quarter gives Oakland a 17-7 lead.

KEY STATS:
The Raiders surrender 234 rushing yards a week after allowing only 21 rushing yards against San Diego. The Raiders allow 200 or more rushing yards for the third time this season.

Oakland has 476 total yards, their third-best output of the season.
The Jaguars' Maurice Jones-Drew has 101 rushing yards on 30 carries, his sixth straight game of rushing for at least 100 yards.
The Jaguars' David Garrard reaches 20 touchdown passes for the season, tying Mark Brunell's franchise record.

THEY SAID IT:
"Anytime you give up that many big plays and points, you put your offense in a tough spot. We had way more than enough points to win this game. When it came down to it, we gave up too many big plays. You aren’t going to beat anybody doing that.”

Raiders DT Richard Seymour

“We believe we’re a team of destiny. It was a big win, but next week (at Indianapolis) will be bigger. You can’t sit back and hope Indy loses. We’ve got to take it. To be the champs, you’ve got to beat the champs.”

Jaguars DT Terrance Knighton

“It’s very frustrating. A game like that, it don’t mean nothing if you don’t win.”

Raiders RB Darren McFadden

BY THE NUMBERS:
4: Consecutive Raiders losses to the Jaguars.

4: Victories by the Jaguars this season when they score the winning points during the final two minutes of a game.

31: Jaguars points against the Raiders during the second half.

209: Yards from scrimmage by Oakland's Darren McFadden, who rushes for 123 yards and has 86 receiving yards.

DID YOU KNOW?:
The Raiders had won 30 of their previous 31 games when scoring at least 30 points and gaining at least 475 yards. Their only loss came on Sept. 22, 1996, when they suffered a 40-34 defeat to visiting San Diego despite gaining 553 total yards. The loss to the Jaguars was also the first time since 2001 that the Raiders dropped a game when scoring 31 or more points.

With the victory, the Jaguars improve to 4-1 all-time against the Raiders. Jacksonville is one of four teams with winning records against the Raiders. The others are Baltimore Ravens (5-1), Houston Texans (5-1) and Kansas City Chiefs (52-46-2).
