Redskins 24, Raiders 14

FLASH RECAP:
Robert Griffin III throws for 227 yards and a touchdown to help rally previously winless Washington to a victory over Oakland before an announced crowd of 53,549 at O.co Coliseum on Sept. 29, 2013.

The Redskins (1-3) score the final 24 points after the Raiders (1-3) build a 14-0 first-quarter lead.

Raiders quarterback Matt Flynn has an interception returned for a touchdown, loses a fumble that leads to a touchdown and is sacked seven times.

The Redskins, playing only their fifth regular-season game in Oakland in the Super Bowl-era, avoid starting a season with four losses for only the second time since 2001.

Oakland
RB Rashad Jennings — His blocked punt in the opening quarter leads to a touchdown. Jennings rushes for 45 yards on 15 carries and has eight receptions for 71 yards.

TE Mychal Rivera — Catches an 18-yard touchdown pass from Matt Flynn with 3:06 left in the first quarter, giving Oakland a 14-0 lead.

RB Jeremy Stewart — Recovers a blocked punt in the end zone for a touchdown.

KEY STATS:
Raiders quarterback Matt Flynn is 21 of 32 passing for 227 yards but has an interception returned for a TD and coughs up a fumble that leads to a score.


The Raiders have only 298 total yards against a Washington defense that entered the game 32nd (last) in the league in yards allowed (1,464 yards/488.0) and points allowed (98/32.7).
