Seahawks 20, Raiders 3

FLASH RECAP:
Thomas Clayton and Vai Taua have short touchdown runs and Jeff Reed kicks two field goals to help Seattle (2-2) defeat visiting Oakland (0-4) before an announced crowd of 65,418 at CenturyLink Field on Sept. 2, 2011.

The Raiders complete their first winless exhibition season since 1989 and second in franchise history.

Seahawks defense — The unit allows only 228 total yards and stops the Raiders on 10 of 14 third-down tries.

SS Tyvon Branch — Stops a potential Seattle scoring drive with an interception of a Tarvaris Jackson pass in the end zone.

K Sebastian Janikowski — Hits a 34-yard field goal but is wide left on a 52-yard attempt, his first miss in the 2011 exhibition season after making seven straight.

KEY STATS:
The Seahawks have 377 yards and 21 first downs compared to 228 total yards and 17 first downs for the Raiders.

BY THE NUMBERS:
0: Oakland touchdowns, the second time in four 2011 exhibition games that the Raiders don't have a TD.

4-17: Combined Oakland third- and fourth-down efficiency. The Raiders convert only 4 of 14 third-down tries and are 0 for 3 on fourth-down tries

201: Combined penalty yards for Oakland and Seattle. The Seahawks commit 9 penalties for 105 yards while the Raiders have 8 penalties for 96 yards.

DID YOU KNOW?:
Tom Cable, Seahawks assistant head coach/offensive line, had a 17-27 record as head coach with the Raiders. The Raiders announced on Jan. 4, 2011 that they would not pick up the two-year option on his contract.


The Seahawks improve to 7-4 in their exhibition series with the Raiders, which began in 1976.
