Raiders 33, Seahawks 3

FLASH RECAP:
Jason Campbell throws for 310 yards and two touchdowns, and Oakland’s defense has eight sacks as the Raiders (4-4) dismantle visiting Seattle (4-3) before an announced crowd of 35,721 at Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum on Oct. 31, 2010.

The Raiders win consecutive games for the first time since the final two games of the 2008 season. Oakland had lost its last seven games following a win and outscored by an average of 17 points.

“It was really important for us to go out and put together back-to-back games where we go out and play consistent and dominate,” linebacker Kamerion Wimbley tells reporters after Oakland improved to 3-1 at the Coliseum this season.

The rejuvenated Oakland defense allows only 162 total yards, including a season-low 47 rushing yards.

It’s the fewest yards allowed by the Raiders since 2006 and the fewest points allowed since shutting out Kansas City in the 2002 regular-season finale.

The Raiders gain 545 total yards — the first time in franchise history they have consecutive 500-yard performances. Oakland has outscored the opposition 92-17 the past two games — the most lopsided two-game stretch for the franchise since 1967.

Darren McFadden has 111 of the Raiders’ 239 rushing yards, wide receiver Darrius Heyward-Bay contributes a career-high 105 receiving yards on five catches and Sebastian Janikowski makes three of four field goal attempts.

The Seahawks (4-3) avoid the shutout when Olindo Mare hits a 47-yard field goal with 8:57 remaining after previous misses from 51 and 29 yards.

PRIME-TIME PLAYERS:

Oakland
Raiders defense — The unit has eight sacks, doesn’t surrender a touchdown and allows only 162 total yards.

QB Jason Campbell — Is 15-of-27 passing for 310 yards and two touchdowns. His 120.9 passer rating is 120.0 plus for the second straight game.

RB Darren McFadden — Has 111 rushing yards on 21 carries, the fourth time in six games this season he has surpassed 100 yards.

Seattle
P Jon Ryan — Averages 45.1 yards on nine punts.

TE John Carlson — Has three catches for 47 yards.

WR Mike Williams — Not much of a factor, but his 27-yard reception sets up Olindo Mare’s 47-yard field goal six minutes into the fourth quarter.

KEY STATS:
The Raiders have 239 rushing yards on 39 carries against a Seahawks defense that enters the game ranked second in the NFL against the run (allowing 77.5 yards per game).

Seahawks wide receiver Mike Williams has only one catch for 27 yards after having a franchise-record 21 receptions the past two games.
Oakland allows a season-low 47 rushing yards on 19 carries. The Raiders enter the game ranked 28th against the run, allowing 138.9 yards per game.
The Raiders get over 100 scrimmage yards from four players — running back Darren McFadden (135), receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey (135), fullback Marcel Reece (122) and running back Michael Bush (106).
Seattle's Olindo Mare misses his first two field goals attempts (from 51 & 29 yards), his first misses after making 30 in a row over two seasons.

THEY SAID IT:
"It just continues to build confidence. You win one then come back the next week and flop, you’re back to like zero. You win two in a row and it builds your confidence even more.”

Raiders RB Darren McFadden

"The ball just really didn’t bounce our way today. That’s all you can say. You’ve got guys out there making plays like Franco Harris on the Immaculate Reception."

Seahawks CB Roy Lewis

BY THE NUMBERS:
4: Seahawks total yards in the first quarter.

8: Raiders sacks, including two each by defensive tackle Richard Seymour and linebacker Kamerion Wimbley.

1053: Oakland total yards the past two games, including 545 against Seattle.

DID YOU KNOW?:
With the victory, the Raiders are 4-4 for the first time since their 2002 Super Bowl season.

The Raiders win for only the second time in seven Halloween games during the franchise’s 51-year history. They also won in 1976. They improved to 2-4-1 in ‘Trick or Treat’ games.
