FLASH RECAP:
The Titans drive 82 yards to set up Vaughn’s winning kick after Oakand fullback Oren O’Neal coughs up a fumble at the Tennessee 1 with 2:10 left. The game features the first quarterbacks taken in the 2006 and 2007 NFL drafts — the Titans’ Vince Young and the Raiders’ JaMarcus Russell. Young is 4-of-13 passing for 37 yards while Russell is 7-of-10 passding for 75 yards and a touchdown. Russell gives Oakland a 7-0 lead with a 10-yard scoring pass to tight end Zach Miller. The Raiders’ Aaron Elling kicks field goals of 56, 27 and 45 yards. The Titans score touchdowns on a Ahmard Hall fumble recovery (after a Johnnie Lee Higgins fumbled punt) and a 51-yard reception by Lavelle Hawkins.
PRIME-TIME PLAYERS:
QB Ingle Martin — Is 6-of-8 passing on the final drive and sets up John Vaughn’s winning field goal with a 26-yard pass to Chris Davis to the Oakland 15.
WR Lavelle Hawkins — Beats CB Michael Waddell for a 51-yard touchdown catch early in the second half.
FB Ahmard Hall — Recovers a Johnnie Lee Higgins fumbled punt for a second-quarter touchdown.
TE Zach Miller — Has four first-half catches for 48 yards, including a 22-yard touchdown reception.
K Aaron Elling — Makes field goals of 56, 27 and 45 yards. His 56-yarder on the final play of the first half would have broken injured regular Sebastian Janikowski’s franchise record (of 54 yards) if it came in a regular-season game.
OLB Ricky Brown — Solidifies his chances for a starting strong-side position with a team-high five tackles.
