Vikings 29, Raiders 22

FLASH RECAP:
Chester Taylor rushes for 164 yards and three touchdowns to propel Minnesota (4-6) past Oakland (2-8) before an announced crowd of 62,960 at the Metrodome on Nov. 18, 2007.

The reeling Raiders lose their sixth straight game despite five field goals from Sebastian Janikowski and five Vikings turnovers (four lost fumbles and one interception).

The Raiders' Daunte Culpepper completes 23 of 39 passes for 344 yards and one touchdown with one interception against his former team. He played his first seven seasons in the NFL with Minnesota.

The Raiders score a combined nine points (all on Janikowski field goals) on first-half drives that reach the Vikings 6, 12 and 24. A third-quarter drive reaches the 14 but ends when Culpepper is sacked and coughs up a fumble.

Tight end John Madsen scores the Raiders' only touchdown on a 10-yard pass from Culpepper during the second quarter.

PRIME-TIME PLAYERS:

Minnesota
RB Chester Taylor — Has a game-high 164 rushing yards and three touchdowns. Taylor averages a whopping 7.5 yards on 22 rushes. He also has three catches for 38 yards, giving him 202 combined yards.
QB Tarvaris Jackson — Is 17-of-22 passing for 177 yards with no TDs and one interception. Jackson completes 12 of 15 passes for 114 yards in the first half as he improves to 3-0 in his past three home starts.
DE Brian Robison — His sack on Daunte Culpepper forces a lost fumble and prevents Oakland from tying or taking the lead late in the third quarter.
Oakland
K Sebastian Janikowski — Is 5-for-5 on field goal attempts. He makes kicks of 47, 30, 42, 49 and 52 yards
WR Ronald Curry — Contributes four catches for 120 yards.
DE Chris Clemons — Has two sacks and a forced fumble.

GOAT:
Raiders defense. The unit surrenders 228 rushing yards to a Vikings team that is missing leading running back Adrian Peterson, sidelined with a knee injury. The Vikings finish with 478 total yards, 153 more yards than their season average of 324.9.

KEY STATS:
The Vikings average 7.1 yards per carry on 32 rushes.


The Raiders recover four Vikings fumbles. Oakland didn't have a fumble recovery through the season's first nine games.
The Vikings' Chester Taylor is the seventh running back to eclipse 100 rushing yards against the Raiders in 10 games this season. Taylor finishes with 164 rushing yards.

TURNING POINT:
Leading 22-19 late in the third quarter, the Vikings stop a Raiders drive at the Minnesota 26 when Chris Greenway recovers a fumble by Daunte Culpepper, who is sacked by Brian Robison. Six plays after Greenway's fumble recovery, Chester Taylor scores on a 6-yard run to boost Minnesota's lead to 29-19.

The Raiders' Sebastian Janikowski equals a single-game career best with five field goals. The eight-year veteran also kicked five field goals against San Diego in 2000 and Chicago in 2003. Janikowski shares the club record for most field goals in a game with Jeff Jaeger, who made five field goals against Denver in 1994.
