Unofficial listing of 2017 Raiders personnel developments:

Jack Del Rio fired as Raiders coach, the team announced following Oakland's 30-10 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers on Dec. 31, 2017. Del Rio, 54, went 25-23 in three seasons with Oakland. He has three years remaining on a contract extension he signed in February.

Former Cincinnati Bengals and Cleveland Browns cornerback Darius Hillary signed to the team's practice squad, the Raiders announced Dec. 27. Hillary, 24, was signed off the Browns' practice squad after playing in one game this season for the Browns.

Tight end Pharaoh Brown signed to the active roster off Oakland's practice squad and tight end Clive Walford placed on the the Reserve/Injured list bcause of a concussion, the Raiders announced Dec. 23. Walford, 26, had career lows in catches (9) and receiving yards (80) in 13 games this season. The three-year veteran averaged 25.5 catches, 344.0 yards and three scores in his first two seasons with the Raiders.

Linebacker Brady Sheldon and offensive lineman Ian Silberman signed to the active roster, the Raiders announced Dec. 22. Sheldon was signed off the Oakland practice squad while Silberman was signed off the Cleveand Browns practice squad. The Raiders also announced that left tackle Donald Penn (foot surgery) and guard/center Jon Felicano (concussion) had been placed on the Reserve/Injured List and tight end Marcus Lucas signed to the practice squad.

Former Washington Redskins safety Stefan McClure signed to team's practice squad, the Raiders announced Dec. 19. McClure, 24, contributed three combined tackles for the Redskins in seven games this season before being released.

Left tackle Donald Penn will undergo surgery to repair the foot injury he suffered against Dallas on Dec. 17, according to published reports. The 11-year veteran will miss the final two games of Oakland's 2017 season after he has surgery and he goes on the injured reserve list. Penn, 34, has played in every game since the start of the 2007 season, when he was with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He has started 62 straight games since signing with the Raiders before the 2014 season.

Cornerback Breon Borders signed by the Buffalo Bills off the Raiders' practice squad, the Bills announced Dec. 16.

Defensive back Obi Melifonwu placed on the Reserve/Injured list because of a hip injury and cornerback Antonio Hamilton activated to the active roster, the Raiders announced on Dec. 15. Melifonwu, a second round pick in the 2017 draft, contributed six combined tackles in five games with one start. He missed the first eight games of the season following ankle surgery before being activated from injured reserve with a designation to return in Week 9.

Defensive tackle Darius Latham is signed to the active roster, linebacker Cory James is placed on the Reserve/Injured list and defensive lineman Joby Saint Fleur is signed to the practice squad, the Raiders announced Dec. 13. James, 24, started nine of the team's first 10 games and contributed 56 total tackles before being sidelined the past two contests because of a knee injury.

Signed defensive tackle Darius Latham to the Oakland practice squad and terminated the practice squad contract of wide receiver Tevuan Smith, the Raiders announced Dec. 6.

Wide receiver Michael Crabtree is reinstated to the active roster and defensive tackle Darius Latham is waived, the Raiders announced Dec. 4. Crabtree was suspended one game after being ejected for fighting against the Denver Broncos on Nov. 26.

Wide receiver Isaac Whitney signed off Oakland's practice squad and wide receiver Tevaun Smith signed to the team's practice squad, the Raiders announced Nov. 29.

Raiders wide receiver Michael Crabtree has his suspension reduced from two games to one on appeal, according to published reports Nov. 28. Crabtree and Denver Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib were ejected for fighting early in the first quarter of Oakland's 21-14 victory over Denver on Nov. 26. The league announced their suspensions on Nov. 27.

Crabtree will miss the Raiders-New York Giants game on Dec. 3, reportedly forfeiting $398,987 in salary.

Wide receiver Isaac Whitney signed off Oakland's practice squad, according to published reports Nov. 28.

Defensive coordinator Ken Norton Jr. fired and replaced by John Pagano, the Raiders announced Nov. 21. Norton, 51, is in his third season as defensive coordinator with the team. The Raiders have one of worst defenses in the NFL this season. They are the only team that does not have an interception, they are last in the league in takeaways and they are tied for last with 14 sacks.

Pagano, 50, was hired by the Raiders in January as an assistant head coach after spending the previous 15 seasons with the then San Diego Chargers, including the last five seasons as defensive coordinator.

Linebacker Brady Sheldon signed to the team's practice squad, the Raiders announced Nov. 21. Sheldon, 23, took part in 2017 training camp with the Raiders before being released.

Cornerback Gareon Conley placed on the Reserve/Injured list and defensive tackle Darius Latham reinstated to the active roster, the Raiders announced Nov. 14.

Conley, the 24th overall choice in the 2017 NFL Draft, reportedly suffered a shin injury during the team's minicamp in June. The former Ohio State star missed training camp, the four-game preseason and the season opener before playing against the New York Jets and Washington Redskins in Weeks 2 and 3. He contributed seven combined tackles in the two games he appeared in.

Defensive tackle Darius Latham suspension lifted by the commissioner, the Raiders announced Nov. 6. He was suspended four games by the NFL in early October for violating the league's substance abuse policy.

Saftey Obi Melifonwu activated to the 53-player roster and cornerback Demetrius McKay waived/injured, the Raiders announced Nov. 4. Melifonwu, a 2017 second-round pick, was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Sept. 5 after undergoing knee surgery.

Running back Marshawn Lynch reinstated to the active roster and running back Elijah Hood waived, the Raiders announced Oct. 30.

Running back Elijah Hood is signed off Oakland's practice squad and defensive lineman Jhaustin Thomas is signed to the team's practice squad, the Raiders announced Oct. 25. Thomas, 24, was signed by the Indianapolis Colts as an undrafted free agent after the 2017 draft and he also spent time on the Cleveland Browns practice squad.

Running back Marshawn Lynch suspended one game by the NFL for unsportsmanlike conduct, the league annouced Oct. 20. The NFL suspended Lynch for leaving the sideline during the second quarter of the Raiders-Kansas City game on Oct. 19 during an on-field skirmish and then shoving an official. He reportedly will appeal the one-game suspension. If the suspension is upheld, Lynch will miss the Oakland at Buffalo game on Oct. 29.

Update: Marshawn Lynch lost his appeal and will be suspended for the Raiders at Buffalo game on Oct. 29, the NFL announced Oct. 24.

Former 49ers Pro Bowl linebacker NaVorro Bowman signs with Oakland and linebacker Tyrell Adams is waived, the Raiders announced Oct. 16. Bowman, 29, reportedly gets a one=year deal and will recieve $3 million for the remainder of the season from the Raiders and also gets his full salary with the 49ers. After spending his first eight NFL seasons with the 49ers, Bowman was released on Oct. 13.

Linebacker Shilique Calhoun signed to the active roster off Oakland's practice squad and cornerback Antonio Hamilton placed on the Reserve/Injured List because of a knee injury, the Raiders announced Oct. 14. Hamilton, 24, contributed one tackle in five games this season.

Cornerback Demetrius McCray signed, the Raiders announced Oct. 10. The team also announced two other moves: signed linebacker Deontae Skinner to the practice squad and terminated the practice squad contract of linebacker Boseko Lokombo.

McCray, 26, played three seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars after being selected in the seventh round of the 2013 draft. He started 16 of 46 games and contributed 82 total tackles with he Jaguars. After signing with Seattle Seahawks before their 2016 training camp, he injured his ankle in the final preseason game and was placed on injured reserve. Seattle reached an injury settlement with McCray on Sept. 5, 2016.

Raiders defensive tackle Darius Latham suspended four games by the NFL for violating the league's substance abuse policy, according to published reports Oct. 9. Latham, 22, is eligible to return to the team's active roster after its Nov. 6 road game against the Miami Dolphins. He also will miss games against the Chargers, Chiefs and Bills.

Punter Marquette King fined $9,115 by the NFL for unsportsmanlike conduct, according to published reports Oct. 6.

King attempted a fake punt on fourth-and-11 from his 33 late in the third quarter of Oakland's 16-10 loss to Denver on Oct. 1. After he was tackled for a 3-yard loss, King threw the football into the back of Broncos special teamer Andy Janovich.

King was flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct and the Raiders were penalized 15 yards.

Linebacker Boseko Lokombo signed to the Oakland practice squad and defensive end Max Valles released from the practice squad, the Raiders announced Sept. 28. Lokombo, who turns 27, Oct. 15, went to 2017 training camp with the Baltimore Ravens before being released Sept. 2. He was signed to the Ravens practice squad Sept. 3 before being released Sept. 26.

Left tackle Donald Penn signs a two-year contract extension worth $21 million, according to published reports Sept. 15. He is scheduled to make $5.8 million this season under his current contract. Penn, 34, missed all of training camp and the opening two preseason games over a contract dispute.

Running back Marshawn Lynch fined $12,000 by the NFL for a hand gesture he made during Oakland's game against Tennessee on Sept. 10, according to published reports Sept. 14. TV cameras caught Lynch flipping the double bird to Tennessee's Karl Klug.

Kicker Giorgio Tavecchio signed off Oakland's practice squad and Sebstian Janikowski placed on the Reserve/Injured list because of a back injury, the Raiders announced Sept. 9. Tavecchio, who has taken part in training camp the past four seasons with the Raiders, has never kicked in a regular-season game. The former Cal kicker is 9 of 11 on field-goal attempts with Oakland during exhibition games. He also has had training camp stints with the 49ers, Packers and Lions before joining the Raiders.

Janikowski, right, has played in a Raiders record 268 games over 17 seasons, and he has missed only four games over that span. He must miss the first eight games of this season before being eligible to be activated in the Injured Reserve/Designated to Return category. Each NFL team has two IR/DTR moves it can use in a season.

Janikowski, 39, is the Raiders franchise's career leader with 1,799 points. The Polish Cannon also is the NFL career leader in made field goals of at least 50 yards with 55 and his 63-yard field goal in the 2011 season opener at Denver is tied for the longest in league history with two other players.

Kicker Giorgio Tavecchio signed to Oakland's practice squad and defensive end Max Valles released from the team's practice squad, the Raiders announced Sept. 8. Travecchio, waived Sept. 2 by the Raiders, was re-signed because kicker Sebastian Janikowski reportedly has a back injury.

Guard/tackle Denver Kirkland and safety Obi Melifonwu placed on the Reserve/Injured list and safety Erik Harris and linebacker Javier Winston-Luster signed, the Raiders announced Sept. 5.

Melifonwu, a second-round pick, reportedly recently underwent knee surgery. He missed part of training camp because of an ankle injury and played in only one preseason game.

Harris saw action with the New Orleans Saints in four games during the 2016 season before being waived by the Saints on Sept. 1. Winson-Luster was waived by the Raiders on Sept. 2 after going through training camp with the team.

Linebacker Shilique Calhoun heads a list of 10 players signed to the Raiders' practice squad, the team announced Sept. 4. Calhoun, a 2016 third-round draft choice by Oakland, was waived Sept. 2.

Also signed to the Oakland practice squad: cornerback Breon Borders, defensive ends Fadol Brown and Max Valles, tight end Pharaoh Brown, wide receivers Keon Hatcher and Isaac Whitney, running back Elijah Hood, guard Jordan Simmons, center James Stone.

Linebacker Shilique Calhoun, a third-round pick in the 2016 draft, is among 33 players waived by Oakland on Sept. 2, the Raiders announced. The team also made four other player moves to reach the NFL 53-man roster limit.

Wide receiver Seth Roberts signed a two-year contract extension through 2019, the Raiders announced Aug. 30. The deal, including the 2017 season, reportedly is worth $12 million with $6.45 million guaranteed. He was scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent following this season.

Roberts, 26, has played in 32 regular-season games with the Raiders the past two seasons, contributing 70 catches for 877 yards and 10 TDs. In 2016, the former West Alabama player had a career high 38 catches for 397 yards and five scores. Roberts became the third undrafted player (Clem Daniels and James Jett are the others) in franchise history to record at least five receiving TDs in multiple seasons.

Cornerback Gareon Conley activated from the physically unable to perform list, according to published reports Aug. 29. He reportedly was on the PUP list because of a shin injury. Conley, 22, was selected by the Raiders with the 24th overall choice in the 2017 NFL Draft.

Left tackle Donald Penn reinstated to the active roster after ending his 26-day holdout and defensive end Jimmy Bean waived, the Raiders announced Aug. 23. Penn, 34, missed all of training camp and the opening two preseason games over a 2017 contract dispute. The 11-year veteran is entering the second season of an $11.9 million, two-year deal. His base salary for 2017 is 5.8 million. He has started 48 consecutive regular-season games for Oakland.

Linebacker Bruce Irvin and defensive end Mario Edwards Jr. activated off the non-football injury list, the Raiders announced Aug. 4. They reportedly practiced with their teammates Aug. 3, after spending less than a week on the NFI list.

Former Jets and Bills defensive end IK Enemkpali signed with the Raiders, according to published reports Aug. 3. He played 17 career games with the Jets and Bills before missing the 2016 season because of a torn anterior cruciate ligament. Enemkpali, 26, is best known for punching former Jets teammate Geno Smith in 2014, and breaking Smith's jaw.

Linebacker Rufus Johnson signed with the Raiders, according to published reports Aug. 3. Johnson, 26, was a sixth-round selection of the New Orleans Saints in 2013. He has played in only one regular-season game, with New England, during the 2015 season.

Cornerback Gareon Conley, offensive lineman Jon Feliciano and defensive end Jihad Ward placed on the physically unable to perfom list, the Raiders announced July 29. The team also announced that linebacker Bruce Irvin and defensive end Mario Edwards Jr. are on the non-football injury list, while holdout offensive tackle Donald Penn is on the did not report list.

Running back George Atkinson III claimed off waivers from the Cleveland Browns, the Raiders announced July 29. Atkinson, 24, played in all 16 games with the Browns during the 2016 season. Primarily used on special teams, he had 34 rushing yards on seven carries against Pittsburgh in the Browns' season finale. The former Notre Dame star appeared in five games with Oakland during the 2014 season, as a special teams contributor.

First-round draft pick and former Ohio State cornerback Gareon Conley agrees to terms on a four-year contract with the Raiders, according to published reports July 28. Conley, 22, was the 24th overall selection in the 2017 NFL Draft. His signing was delayed because of an ongoing Cleveland police investigation into a rape accusation made against Conley in April. Conley has denied the allegation.

Update: A Cuyahoga County (Ohio) Grand Jury decided not to indict Conley on sexual assault allegations made against him prior to April's draft, according to published reports July 31.

Tackle Austin Howard and running back Taiwan Jones released and long snapper Andrew East signed, the Raiders announced July 28.

Howard, 30, reportedly underwent surgery in January to repair a torn labrum and rotator cuff after starting 39 of 40 games he played in with the Raiders the past three seasons. He signed a five-year, $30 million deal with Oakland in 2014. Former New York Giants lineman Marshall Newhouse becomes the Raiders' starting right tackle with Howard's departure. Oakland reportedly will save $5 million against the salary cap by releasing Howard.

Running back/kick returner Taiwan Jones released by the Raiders, according to published reports July 27. Jones, 29, primarily played on special teams during his six seasons with the Raiders, although he had stints at running back and cornerback. He had 183 rushing yards on 44 carries with the Raiders. Last season the former Eastern Washington player returned only eight kicks after returning 31 kicks the previous season.

Update: Jones signed with the Buffalo Bills on Aug. 2, the Bills announced.

Second-round draft pick and former Connecticut safety Obi Melifonwu signed, the Raiders announced July 25. He reportedly agreed to a four-year deal.

Melifonwu, 23, was the only player taken after the first round of the 2017 draft without a contract until his signing. Melifonwu will open his NFL career as a backup, but he projects to replace 11-year veteran Reggie Nelson at free safety in 2018.

Linebacker Ben Heeney and tight end Cooper Helfet placed on the non-football injury list, the Raiders announced July 25.

Heeney, 25, opened the 2016 season as Oakland's starting middle linebacker, but was demoted after the second game and he went on season-ending injured reserve after tearing the deltoid ligament in his right ankle against Baltimore in Week 4. Helfet, 28, signed with the Raiders practice squad last October. He contributed 25 catches for 315 yards and two TDs in 24 games with Seattle in 2014 & 2015.

The Raiders on July 14 announced the signing of three players: former Packers running back Jonn Crockett and two undrafted free agents, offensive lineman Kareem Are (Florida State) and linebacker Brady Sheldon (Ferris State). Crockett, 25, was with the Packers the past two seasons, and he spent 2016 on injured reserve. The former North Dakota State player rushed for 21 yards on nine carries in two games in 2015.

Linebackers Neiron Ball and Andy Mulumba and long snapper Anthony Kukwa waived, the Raiders announced July 7. Ball, who contributed nine tackles and a sack in six games as a rookie in 2015, was placed on waivers with a non-football injury designation.

Third-round draft pick and former UCLA defensive tackle Eddie Vanderdoes signed, the Raiders announced July 5. Vandergoes, 22, started 39 games in four seasons with the Bruins and contributed four sacks and 126 combined tackles (69 solo). He tore his left anterior cruciate in the 2015 opener and had modest statistics in 2016, contributing 1.5 sacks and 29 combined tackles. In 2014, he had 50 combined tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss and 2.2 sacks.

The Raiders' top two draft picks, Ohio State cornerback Gareon Conley and Connecticut safety Obi Melifonwu remain unsigned.

Guard Gabe Jackson and the Raiders agreed on a five-year, $56 million contract extension, according to published reports June 29. Jackson, who turns 26 on July 12, reportedly gets $26 million in guaranteed money. Cleveland's Kevin Zeitler is the highest paid guard in the NFL at $12 million per season followed by the Raiders' Kelechi Osemele at $11.7 million. Jackson's new deal has an $11.2 million average.

Quarterback Derek Carr and the Raiders agreed on a five-year, $125 million contract extension, according to published reports June 22. Carr gets $40 million in fully guaranteed money at the time of the signing. The deal reportedly includes $30 million more guaranteed for injury and he can receive up to $69 million over the first three years of the contract.

Carr, 26, becomes the NFL's highest-paid player with an annual salary of about $25 million. The Colts' Andrew Luck reportedly gets $24.6 million per year followed by the Cardinals' Carson Palmer at $24.35 million, the Saints' Drew Brees at $24.25 million and the Redskins' Kirk Cousins at $23.9 million.

The guarantees on Carr's deal reportedly come in behind Luck, who received $47 million in fully guaranteed money, and another $40 million in injury guarantees in 2016. The Packers' Aaron Rodgers received $54 million in fully guaranteed money.

Although the Raiders did not announce the extension, Carr confirmed via Twitter on June 22 that the deal has been finalize: "Now it's done 😂! From the jump I've wanted to be a Raider 4 life. One step closer to that! Blessed!!! Business done! Let's just play now!!!"

Offensive tackle David Sharpe (fourth round) and linebacker Marquel Lee (fifth round) signed, the Raiders announced May 26. The team also announced the signing of its four seventh-round selecions in the 2017 draft — safety Shalom Luani, offensive tackle Jylan Ware, running back Elijah Hood and defensive lineman Trevyon Hester.

Former Kentucky Marcus McWilson signed, the Raiders announced May 15. He played in 41 games over four seasons for the Wildcats, contributing 173 tackles (81 solo), four intercrptions and 1.5 sacks.

Linebackers Najee Harris and LaTroy Lewis signed, the Raiders announced May 8. Harris played at Wagner while Lewis saw action in 44 games during four seasons at Tennessee, according to published reports.

Oakland also announced the signing of Faulkner defensive end Chris Casher, who began his college carreer at Florida State.

To make room on the 90-player roster, the Raiders waived three players — safety Ahmad Thomas, defensive tackle Jordan Wade and linebacker Dewayne Thomas.

The Raiders signed eight 2017 undrafted free agents, according to published reports April 30. The list includes Mississippi defensive end Fadol Brown, Oregon tight end Pharaoh Brown, Rutgers safety Anthony Cioffi, Arkansas wide receiver Keon Hatcher, Louisiana State defensive back Rickey Jefferson, Southern Cal offensive lineman Jordan Simmons, Southern Cal wide receiver Isaac Whitney, Baylor wide receiver Ishmael Zamora.

The Raiders acquired retired running back Marshawn Lynch from the Seattle Seahawks in exchange for a 2018 fifth-round choice, the Raiders announced April 26. The Seahawks will send Oakland a 2018 sixth-round selection as part of the deal.

Lynch, 31, reportedly signed a two-year contract worth a maximum value of $8.5 million. His base salary for the 2017 season is $3 million, with a chance to make an extra $2 million in incentives if he rushes for 1,000 or more yards. Lynch reportedly was scheduled to earn $9 million with Seattle in 2017 if he came out of retirement. He must apply to the league for reinstatement before playing for Oakland.

Lynch was arguably the NFL's top power back before he retired following the 2015 season. He reached double figures in TD runs from 2011 to 2014, and his 51 rushing TDs are the most in the league since 2011 despite playing in only seven games in 2015 and being retired last season. For his career, the former Cal star has 9,112 yards and 74 TDs.

The Raiders exercised the fifth-year option on defensive end Khalil Mack's rookie contract, the team announced April 20.

As the fifth overall pick in the 2014 draft, Mack reportedly had one more guaranteed year left on the deal before the Raiders picked up the option for 2018. The value of Mack's 2018 option year is estimated to be around $13.2 million. The move also gives the Raiders additional time to negotiate a long-term deal with Mack.

Mack, voted the NFL's defensive player of the year for 2016, has 30 sacks in his first three seasons with the Raiders.

Kicker Giorgio Tavecchio re-signed, the team announced April 20. The former Cal kicker, 24, has been in training cam with ther Raiders the past two seasons as a backup to Sebastian Janikowki. Tavecchio, 26, was 3 of 4 on field goal tries and 3 of 3 on extra point attempts during the 2015 preseason, and he made his lone field goal try from 28 yards and was 4 of 5 on PAT attempts in 2016. He also has spent time with San Francisco (2012), Green Bay (2013) and Detroit (2014) before signing with Oakland in 2015.

Defensive tackle Dan Williams released, the Raiders announced April 17. Williams, 29, reportedly was set to count $4.5 million toward the team's 2017 salary cap. The former Arizona Cardinal started 26 regular-season games and last season's playoff game against Houston while contributing 65 total tackles and 1.5 sacks.

Wide receiver Seth Roberts, guard Denver Kirkland and tight end Gabe Holmes signed their exclusive rights free agent tenders with the Raiders, the team announced April 17. Defensive lineman Denico Autry signed his restricted free agent tender with the team.

Roberts, 26, contributed 38 catches for 397 yards and five TDs during the 2016 regular season as Oakland's No. 3 receiver. Roberts and former Vikings kick returner/wideout Cordarrelle Patterson are expected to compete for playing time behind starters Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree during Oakland's 2017 training camp.

Former Raiders quarterback Matt McGloin signed with the Philadelphia Eagles, the Eagles announced April 10, 2017. The former Penn State starter received a one-year deal, according to published reports. McGloin, 27, started the 2016 regular-season finale against Denver but suffered a shoulder injury late in the first half. Rookie Connor Cook started the following week when the Raiders lost 27-14 against the Houston Texans in the wild card round of the NFL playoffs. In four seasons with Oakland, McGloin started seven of 14 games and threw for 1,868 yards with 11 TDs and 11 interceptions.

Defensive lineman Demetrius Cherry waived by the Raiders, the team announced April 10. Cherry, 24, spent a portion of the 2016 season on the Raiders' practice squad.

Former Raiders tight end Mychal Rivera signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Jaguars announced March 22. He reportedly gets a one-year deal with a club option for a second season. Rivera, 26, played in 61 games with 15 starts for the Raiders the past four seasons. He had 18 catches for 192 yards during 2016 as Clive Walford replaced Rivera in the team's primary pass receiving role at tight end. Rivera's best season came in 2014 when he had 58 catches for 534 yards and four TDs.

Former Miami Dolphins linebacker Jelani Jenkins signed, the Raiders announced March 20. Jenkins, 25, played in only nine games with seven starts last season because of a knee injury, but he was a regular starter when healthy the past three seasons. He contributed 227 total tackles, 3.5 sacks, three forced fumbles and five passes defensed during his four seasons the Dolphins.

Long snapper Jon Condo re-signed, the Raiders announced March 20. Condo, 35, has been the team's long snapper since 2007. He has played in 160 NFL games, including 141 straight from 2007-2015.

Former Buffalo Bills quarterback EJ Manuel signed, the Raiders announced March 20. He reportedly gets a one-year deal for $800,000 with no guaranteed money. Manuel started 10 games as a rookie after being selected by the Bills in the first round of the 2013 draft. He was benched in favor of Kyle Orton after four games the following season and spent the last two seasons as a backup to Tyrod Taylor. Manuel joins Derek Carr and Connor Cook as quarterbacks on the Raiders' 2017 roster. Matt McGloin, last season's No. 2 behind Carr, is currently a free agent.

Former Raiders wide receiver Andre Holmes agreed to terms with the Buffalo Bills, according to published reports March 18. The deal is for three years and worth up to $6.5 million with $2.425 million guaranteed.

Holmes, 28, played the past four seasons with the Raiders, contributing 100 catches for 1,451 yards and 12 TDs. His best season came in 2014 when he had 47 catches for 693 yards and four scores. His production slipped the past two seasons with 28 catches and 7 TDs as he fell to No. 4 on the depth chart behind starters Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree and slot receiver Seth Roberts.

Holmes becomes the ninth 2017 Raiders free agent to sign elsewhere.

Former Raiders running back Latavius Murray signed with the Minnesota Vikings, the Vikings announced March 16. The deal reportedly is for three years with a total value of $15 million (with incentives).

Murray, 27, rushed for 788 yards and a career-high 12 touchdowns in 14 games last season. He ran for a career-high 1,066 yards in 2015. The former Central Florida star rushed for 2,278 yards with 20 touchdowns and caught 91 passes for 639 yards in three seasons with the Raiders.

Former Green Bay Packers tight end Jared Cook signed with the Raiders, according to published reports March 16. He gets a two-year deal worth up to $12.2 million with incentives. Cook, 29, contributed 30 catches for 377 yards and a TD in 10 regular-season games last season before having 18 receptions in three playoff contests for the Packers. He has 303 catches for 3,880 yards and 17 scores with the Titans, Rams and Packers.

Former Minnesota Vikings receiver/kick returner Cordarrelle Patterson signed, the Raiders announced March 14. He reportedly gets a two-year deal with $5 million guaranteed, and the contract is voidable after one year if he meets incentives. Patterson is a two-time Pro Bowl selection as a kick returner and contributed 132 catches for 1,316 yards the past four seasons with the Vikings, including a career-best 52 catches in 2016. The former Tennessee star has 16 NFL career touchdowns — 7 receiving, 4 rushing and 5 kickoff returns. He was selected 29th overall by Minnesota during the 2013 draft.

Journeyman offensive tackle Marshall Newhouse agrees to a two-year deal with the Raiders, according to published reports March 11. Newhouse, 28, played the last two seasons with the New York Giants. A fifth round pick of the Packers, he spent four seasons with Green Bay and one in Cincinnati before signing with the Giants. He started 14 games in 2015, and six last season. The former Texas Christian lineman has started 56 of 86 games in the NFL.

Former Raiders offensive tackle Menelik Watson signed with the Denver Broncos, according to published reports on March 10. He gets a three-year deal worth $18.8 million. Watson, 28, battled injuries in his four seasons with Oakland after being selected in the second round of the 2013 draft. The former Florida State lineman missed the entire 2015 season with a torn Achilles tendon and started only 17 games during his other three seasons with the Raiders, including five starts in 2016. He has missed more games (37) than he has played (27) since entering the NFL.

Former Raiders cornerback DJ Hayden agreed to terms with the Detroit Lions, according to published reports on March 10. He gets a one-year deal that is worth up to $5.25 million with incentives. Hayden, selected by Oakland with the 12th overall pick in the 2013 draft, has a long history of injuries. In three seasons with the Raiders he started 25 of 42 games and contributed three interceptions. In 2016, Hayden had 37 total tackles and a forced fumble in 11 games before going on injured reserve with a hamstring injury.

Former Raiders safety Nate Allen signed with the Miami Dolphins, according to published reports on March 10. He started seven of 19 games with Oakland the past two seasons and contributed three interceptions. Allen, 29, was limited to five games in 2015 because of a knee injury and spent last season in a reserve role behind rookie Karl Joseph.

Former Raiders linebacker Malcolm Smith signed with the San Francisco 49ers, according to published reports March 9. Smith, 27, gets a five-year, $26.5 million contract after playing the past two seasons with the Raiders. In 2015, he set career highs with 122 total tackles and 4.0 sacks.

Former Raiders special teams standouts Daren Bates and Brynden Trawick signed with the Tennessee Titans, according to published reports on March 9. Bates, listed as a linebacker, received a three-year, $6 million deal while Trawick, listed as a safety, received a two-year deal with $3 million in guaranteed money and is worth $4.75 million with incentives.

Former Raiders defensive lineman Stacy McGee signed with the Washington Redskins, according to published reports on March 9. The former Oklahoma player gets a five-year deal worth $25 million. McGee, a sixth-round pick by the Raiders in the 2013 draft, contributed 17 tackles, 2.5 sacks and two forced fumbles in nine games last season.

The Raiders and head coach Jack Del Rio agreed to a new four-year contract, the team announced Feb. 9, 2017. Del Rio, 53, has a 19-13 win-loss record in his two seasons with the Raiders. In 2016, he led the team to its first playoff berth and winning season in 14 years. Del Rio had two years remaining on the contract he signed in January 2015.

"The Raiders have torn up Jack Del Rio's original contract and rewarded him with a new four-year deal," Raiders owner Mark Davis said in a statement. "We are excited to continue building on the strong foundation that has been established, and this is a significant step in achieving that goal."

Del Rio was the Denver Broncos' defensive coordinator for three seasons before being hired by the Raiders. He had a 68-71 record in nine seasons (2003-2011) as the Jacksonville Jaguars' head coach with two playoff appearances.

Former San Diego Chargers defensive coordinator John Pagano named assistant head coach-defense, the Raiders announced Jan. 23, 2017. Pagno, 49, has 21 years of NFL coaching experience, including the past 15 seasons with the Chargers. He spent the last five seasons as San Diego defensive coordinator. Pagano's hiring gives the Raiders three coaches with defensive coordinator experience. Head coach Jack Del Rio was a defensive coordinator with Carolina and Denver while Ken Norton Jr is the Raiders' current defensive coordinator.

Todd Downing promoted from quarterbacks coach to offensive coordinator and Jake Peetz promoted from assistant quarterbacks coach to quarterbacks coach, the Raiders announced Jan. 14, 2017. Quarterback Derek Carr emerged as a MVP canadidate during the 2016 season, and Downing received a major share of the credit for Carr's play. Downing replaces Bill Musgrave, who was Oakland's offensive coordinator the past two seasons before joining the Denver Broncos as quarterbacks coach on Jan. 13.

Raiders offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave is expected to leave the team and quarterbacks coach Todd Downing could replace Musgrave, according to published reports on Jan. 10, 2017. Under Musgrave's direction, the Raiders in the 2016 season ranked sixth in total yards (373.3 yards per game), seventh in points (26.0), sixth in rushing (120.1 yards) and 13th in passing (253.2 yards).
